Victorian Large Formal Wedding Group Portrait Photograph from the 1890s
A remarkably, well preserved, large-format Victorian wedding photograph featuring an extensive bridal party and guests. This outdoor "cabinet style" mount captures the height of the 1890s fashion. The bridge is positioned centrally in a traditional white gown with a high lace neck and veil, surrounded by bridesmaids in ornate floral hats and guests in formal morning suits and elaborate silk gowns.
The image is very sharp and clear, providing a fantastic social history record of life in Oxford. It is mounted on its original heavy dark cardstock with the photographer's gilt mark "W. Blackall, Oxford".

Era - 1890-1898
