A charming late-Victorian pictorial souvenir of Brighton and its surrounding districts. This large-format "View Book" features 101 high-quality monochromatic photographic plates capturing the essence of the "Queen of Watering Places" at the turn of the century.

Highlights include:
• The Royal Pavilion: Multiple views including the North Entrance and the Dome & Corn Exchange.
• Landmarks: The Clock Tower (North Street), Brighton Town Hall, and the Old Steine.
• Leisure & Sport: Scenes of the Sussex County Cricket Ground and Queen's Park.

Bound in its original deep burgundy cloth with a textured diamond pattern. The front cover is elegantly stamped in gilt with the title and a heraldic crest.

Condition: Good/Very Good. Light rubbing to the extremities and spine as consistent with age. Internally clean with crisp plates and firm binding. Bound in its original burgundy cloth with a textured diamond pattern.  Internally clean with crisp plates and firm binding, there are some hints of internal tanning.
