Edwardian Sterling Silver Vinaigrette dated 1901

An Edwardian cushion shaped silver vinaigrette with rounded corners and jump ring. It is hinged and opens to reveal a gilt scroll pattern grille. It is plain in design and has a lipped edge to open and close. There is a hallmark inside on both sides.

Hallmarked Birmingham 1901.

Maker H&T (Hilliard & Thomason).

Dimensions - 2.4cm x 1.5cm x 0.8cm.

Weight - 8.9gms (0.28 troy ounce).

This vinaigrette is in very good condition. It closes well and securely. The grille and hinge are tight. It does sit very slightly higher when shut however it is hardly noticeable.

It has surface age related marks on it, and there are a few marks also in between where you open the box up and also inside as can be seen in the photographs.
