A fine late Victorian pocket watch and dressing box crafted in burr walnut designed as a bedside or dressing table accessory for the storage of a pocket watch and accessories such as dress studs or Albert chain and watch key.
The exterior features stunning wood grain complemented by a plain shield shaped cartouche to the lid, ready to be engraved.
When opened the interior reveals its original red velvet lining and a thoughtfully organised layout with central pocket watch cradle, with a front Albert chain or collar studs channel.
There are also spaces for storing cufflinks or dress rings.

Material - Burr walnut veneer, brass and velvet interior
Condition - Good antique condition overall. It displays lovely original patina and velvet interior, with a notable area of loss to one lower corner exposing the substrate (as shown in detailed photographs). Structurally sound with smooth hinges and fully functional.
