A Signed Masterpiece: Ettore Sobrero Miniature Laboratory
A unique, large scale miniature laboratory by the Italian virtuoso Ettore Sobrero. Hand-signed by the artist on the reverse, this"one-off" piece is a masterclass in the ancient art of flame working. Sobrero's work is celebrated globally for its impossible detail and technical accuracy, transforming scientific apparatus into ethereal sculpture.
This bespoke arrangement features a complex network of distillation flasks, condensers and chemical beakers, all meticulously scaled. As a signed original, this piece was never repeated, making it a singular entry in the Sobrero archive. The transparency and precision of the glass create a mesmerising 'Cabinet of Curiosities' centrepiece.

It measures 30cm x 52cm approx.
Condition: Good condition, all pieces are intact and the drawers and cupboards close securely. Overall, it's been very well preserved. It is in remarkable condition for such a complex flame worked piece. To ensure the longevity of the display, the arrangement has been expertly curated, with the most stable and significant scientific components preserved.
Please Note: Due to the ethereal nature of Sobrero's glass, some elements are delicately balanced and may have slight movement within their mounts. This is characteristic of the artist's original assembly method. The wooden cabinetry remains sturdy, and all drawers/cupboards function securely.
