Victorian Sterling Silver Hammered Vesta Case dated 1900

A very good quality Victorian solid Vesta case made in all sterling silver. With a hammered pattern on all sides and edges. There is a circular central cartouche with initials. The match striker is underneath and still works very well. The maker and hallmark is on the inside top edge.

It measures 4cm x 3cm x 0.7cm when closed.

It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1900.

The maker mark is CS FS (Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd).

It weighs 18.6gms (0.5 troy ounce).

The condition is excellent. The pattern is still very good and the hinge closes securely.
