A beautifully decorated Edwardian business card holder in the design of an envelope.
There is a fancy blank cartouche in the centre with space for engraving. The top opens up to reveal the hallmark and maker. There is elaborate scroll detail throughout and a light gilt interior.
It measures 7.5cm x 4cm x 0.5cm when closed.
Fully hallmarked for Chester 1910.
The maker is A&LLd (Adie & Lovekin Ltd).
The condition is excellent. All of the engraving is in tact, the cartouche is empty, the hinge works very well. The hallmark and maker's marks are clear.
