This Victorian cobalt ewer was discovered in The Hermitage, a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e28-room mansion left untouched for nearly 100 years.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSourced from the famous 2013 \"time capsule\" auction in Hexham.  It is a \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDeep blue glass with a Renaissance-style cherub handle.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis was crafted by one of Sheffield's respected Victorian silver plate manufacturers.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt is hallmarked and the maker is R \u0026amp; Co which belongs to Richard Richardson, established in 1796.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe ewer handle is high quality silver plate and is likely to date from 1873 - 1900.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHeight - 18cm\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCondition - Excellent glass.
